THE STORY OF ØRRA
Thoughtful care, shaped by experience.
For more than 25 years, I’ve worked behind the chair at my salon, Studio 44, in Spring Grove, Minnesota. During that time, I’ve worked hands-on with different hair types, textures, and concerns, giving me a firsthand look at how the products we use daily perform over time.
Over the years, I became more conscious of the ingredients in those products and found myself wanting something simpler for both my clients and myself. I started researching botanical oils from around the world and spent months testing different combinations, adjusting the formula, and using it behind the chair.
ØRRA wasn’t created overnight. I used the oil on my clients, watched how it performed, made adjustments, and kept testing. Before launching, I handed out 150 samples to get the formula into even more hands and hear what people thought.
The result is the ØRRA Botanical Hair Oil we make today: a lightweight, multipurpose blend created to nourish hair and scalp, smooth frizz, and add shine without the heavy feel I wanted to avoid.
Today, ØRRA has become a family effort. My daughter, Kenadee, works alongside me to help bring the brand to life and share it with more people. She’s also studying to become an esthetician, bringing her own perspective and knowledge of beauty and skin care to the business. Together, we’re growing ØRRA right here in Spring Grove, Minnesota.
